Clip-In Hair Extension Review

Wearing Irresistible Me Clip-In Extensions
Collection: Silky Touch
Length: 20"
Color: Golden Blonde (#14)

During my sophomore year of college I got semi-permanent (bead) hair extensions and although they looked amazing, I had the most awful overall experience. (They gave me a terrible headache for almost a week straight after application, they had to be re-adjusted every week or so due to hair growth, they itched horribly after two months and they were so heavy that they caused major hair loss upon removal.) Needless to say, the experience really scarred me.

As they say, though, time heals all. So when Irresistible Me approached me about trying out their clip-in extensions I was ready to give it another shot. This time, my experience was amazing!

Not only were the products amazing, but the resources provided ensured for the most flawless customer experience.

My major concern when ordering extensions is ensuring that the extension color matches my natural hair as closely as possible. Colors on computer screens vary. One person's explanation of a color may be different from another. The opportunities for failing to find the right color are limitless. With Irresistible Me, this was not an issue at all!

Irresistible Me has a color matching video that explains and compares all of their available colors.

The Pinterest image below is recommended to provide insight into the length you should order and other resource images and videos may be found all over their site for further assistance on application, care, etc.

This was my first time apply them, so I definitely need to work on my blending and styling process, but in general I thought they looked amazing! Who doesn't feel more fabulous with long locks!? Be sure to check out Irresistible Me if you're thinking of changing up your look (even if you only want to wear them every once in a while)!

(Outfit shown above will be on the blog soon!)

How to Rock a Head Scarf

Head scarf {old, also loving this one and this one}
Tassel sandals {sold out in red, similar here, here and loving this flat version}
Double zip tote {old, similar here & here}
Kendra Scott necklace c/o {on sale for $40 right now!}

Square scarves are all the rage right now for both boho looks and more preppy ones, and I'm telling you, you should totally jump on board!

"But I don't look good in head wraps." Ye of little faith!! It's all in the technique! Here's my advice.

      1) Tie the knot at the back of the neck in the center or on top of your head, slightly off-center.

      2) Make it intentional and fluff that bow! Show them you mean business. (It's all in the
      confidence.) So, after tying your knot, be sure to pull it apart a little.
      3) Pull out some baby hairs. Creating a slightly wispy look will make it feel more effortless. (The
      best ones to loosen up are the ones right above your ear.)
      4) Follow your hat rule. Say what? You know, do you tuck your ears or nah? Whatever you
      normally do when wearing a baseball hat applies also to wearing head scarves. (I definitely
      should have tucked the top of my ears in. Oopsies!)
      5) Pick a print. Adding a head or neck scarf is a great way to make more of a statement with
      your look, so pack a punch!

Show me how you style your head scarfs by tweeting at me (@sarakatestyling) or tagging me on Instagram (same handle). I hope that helped! Happy Tuesday!!

The Perfect Summer Dress

Cotton On Lace Hem Dress c/o {On Sale for $20 right now!!}
Double zip tote {old, similar here & here}
Kendra Scott necklace c/o {on sale for $40 right now!}

Aside from meeting a ton of amazing people, one of my favorite aspects of blogging is the fact that it often pushes me outside of my fashion comfort zone. Normally, if I'd been shopping for myself, this dress would have had a ton of red flags on the hanger. {I'm short and midi/maxi dresses can be awkward on me. Intricate hemlines intimidate me, etc.} But as soon as I put this dress on, I fell in love!!

The fit is amazing, the back is fun and it's long enough to be functional. It's perfect for running errands, just hanging out or even for going on a date night. Plus, the fabric is PERFECT for hot summer weather! I seriously cannot get enough of it! Be sure to check out Cotton On for a ton of other effortless summer looks.

PS - They are running a HUGE sale right now and almost everything is at least 30% off!!

Decorating for Spring

So sorry I've been MIA this week, y'all. I'm not going to lie, I've just been incredibly exhausted and unfortunately, blogging is what's had to give. That said, though, what better post to come back with than one relating to bedding!?

I'm a style person and spring is my favorite season, but when it comes to decorating according to the seasons I am all about the little things. So today I've partnered with Crane & Canopy to show you my favorite ways to simply transition your bedroom to spring.

No one has time for a complete overhaul, but making little changes can make all the difference!
  • Switch up your nightstand - Add some books, a spring scented candle and casually throw some of your favorite spring jewelry on there!
  • Place a spring inspired serving tray on your bed - Layered on top of throw blanket and topped with some fresh blooms, you will be dying to have breakfast in bed.
How do you transition your bedroom style for spring? I'd love to hear! Looking for more inspo? Check out Crane & Canopy's website for styled product pics, decorating tips and more!

Weekend Wear: White Vans

In general, my style is very preppy. I like bright colors and form fitting pieces... It's very Kate Spade inspired, to say the least. Ever since I got these white vans, though, I have been all about effortless, chic and somewhat sporty looks! There is just nothing better than the perfect pair of cut-off shorts and adorable sneakers! Throw a tassel top on and you are good to go!

My weekend was action packed! We continued the Frill warehouse sale Saturday morning and then I headed to Lorena Luca Spa for the afternoon. Let me tell you, y'all it was amazing!! I'll do a full review at some point. In the meantime, though, if you are in the Raleigh, NC area and want to pamper yourself I highly recommend this place! I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

It's that time of the year! You know, the time when everyone magically transforms into their inner flower child for the sake of music and fashion... It's time for Coachella!

Maybe it's just me, and keep in mind I've never been, but it seems that Coachella is the most stylish of all music festivals. Like, the pressure is on y'all. Everyone brings their A-game. All the girls look super cute and the boho vibes are perfection.

So, whether you are actually attending the famed festival or just trying to flaunt your boho style from home, here are some of my top choices for boho chic looks!

Happy Thursday!!
