Fuchsia Cords

Sweater: JC Penney (old, similar) // Cords: J.Crew Factory (also loving)
Shoes: BCBG via DSW // Necklace: Frill (similar)
Sunnies: Toms

This weekend was a hot mess. We were super busy (birthday parties for friends, family in town and my own birthday plans) and it was freezing. Literally. So, please excuse the full blown afro haha.

I feel like weekends like this raise the ultimate question: It's spring, so you want to wear cute colors, but it's also freezing. What do you do?! That's why I love these cords. They are warm and colorful! Only downside? when you walk you sound like a DJ scratching a track, but whatever... It adds character, right?!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend and check back tomorrow! I have a super fun post planned!

Bella Tu Top

Top: bella tu c/o // Jacket: Zara (old, almost identical here!) // Jeans: Uniqlo
Ring: Moon & Lola via Frill

One of the biggest questions I ask myself when I'm shopping for resort wear type clothing is, "How am I going to style this when the season is over, or when I'm not in a resort wear type setting?" We all get excited while we are shopping for vacation, but we have to make sure the pieces we buy don't just sit in our closet for a year after that time is over.

That's why I love this marea top by bella tu. It's absolutely adorable as a resort wear piece and it can be woven seamlessly into everyday outfits. Since it's been a little cloudy the past couple of days, I decided to style my top as I would for work. I love how the leather of the blazer contrasts the delicate fabric of the top. Don't you agree!?

Use Don't forget - when you order in March, you will be entered to win a $750 bella tu wardrobe!! So hurry, hurry!

Boho Chic

Romper: Swoon (last season, similar) // Kimono: Madison Avenue Boutique
(Borrowed from Sharon) // Clutch: Swagger Boutique (also available here)
Shoes: Steve Madden // Nails: China Glaze
Ring: Moon & Lola via Frill

Generally, my style is extremely preppy, but who doesn't like to change it up every once in a while?!  That's why I like this look so much... It's so different from what I typically style. It's fun and flirty, and oh so boho! Very free people right?

Every time I see Sharon wear this kimono I swoon, so when I was looking for something to pair with this romper, I knew it would be perfect! Is it not the best combo!?

Insta Round Up & How to Join Raleigh Blog Society

Just a quick post today, before the crazy week continues. Unfortunately, all of my photographer friends were out of town this weekend, so I haven't had a chance to shoot any new looks yet. SO, I figured I'd take this chance to touch on a couple other fun things! Below are a couple of my top Instagram posts from the past couple of weeks!

Also, many of you have been asking about how to join the Raleigh Blog Society. Well, this post will give you the details!

Yesterday was National Puppy Day, so I wanted to be sure to share this adorable pic! Roxy is my pup. We adopted her from the pound a couple years ago and now she is my best friend. This girl is my ride-or-die haha. Love her! Outfit post here.

I've been really into the color yellow lately and this has been one of my favorite looks this spring! Outfit post here.

Recently, the Raleigh Blog Society teamed up with Downtown Apex to host a shopping event. Meghan from Champagne and Suburbs was the one who put it all together and it was a blast! Here are a couple of my top picks from the evening.

Like I said, I am loving some yellow right now! I am obsessed with all of the bright things happening in this picture! Outfit post here.

Lastly, the thing you have all been waiting for... How to join the Raleigh Blog Society!! It's easy! Simply click the link below and fill out the application. It only take a couple of days to be reviewed and then they will get back to you!

The Perfect Shift

Dress: bella tu c/o (also loving the long sleeved version) // Purse: Target
Shoes: C.Wonder (old, similar) // Earrings: Frill (similar)

I am all about transitional pieces, but finding the right one can be so hard. That's why I love this dress by bella tu! It is perfect for resort wear and vacation, for everyday wear and for an evening out with the girls! The shape and color is so classic, but the embroidery really adds a pop! I just can't get enough!!

Navy and pink is such an amazing color combination, so in this outfit I really  wanted to draw on those even more by adding pops of turquoise. I feel like the whole look is effortless and chic!

Frill Bow Back Dress

Dress: Frill // Shoes: BCBG via DSW
Necklace: Frill // Earrings: Stella & Dot
Nails: Revlon in #410 Dreamer

What screams sorority style than a seersucker dress, a big bow and a monogram? A seersucker dress, a big bow, a monogram and a PUPPY!

I don't bring Roxy to many of my outfit shoots, but when I brought her to yesterday's shoot she wouldn't stop fussing. So finally, I stuck her in a couple pictures with me and you know what, she stopped! haha What can I say, I guess the girl likes the spotlight! {Well, that and her mom haha.}

Anyway, I am completely obsessed with this dress. I have always loved seersucker and cute backs, but the bow on this one is really the icing on the cake... It's amazing!! It's preppy, flirty and perfect for any event! Don't you agree?!
