Lace Hem Sweater

Sweater: Bluetique Cheap Chic (Chapel Hill) // Pants: Madewell (similar)
Boots: Apricot Lane (last season, similar) // Purse: Old, similar
Necklace: Frill (similar) // Lips: L'Oreal in Fairest Nude over NYX in Mauve

Lace hemmed sweaters are very in right now. But finding the perfect one, for me, has been very difficult. Every time I spot one, I get very excited, but up until now there was always something missing - They lace was an odd shape or the sweater was a weird material. So when I found this sweater, I was ecstatic! I love that it's a waffle knit (that's one of my favorite weaves) and that the lace is so prominent! I like the simple details of it, so I paired it with more simple pieces.

Christmas Eve Dress

Dress: Ann Taylor // Belt: Amazon (similar here and here) //
Shoes: DWD (similar) // Lips: Sephora in Pure Red

Sorry I'm running behind today, but I wanted to share a quick post with you all before the joy of Christmas truly starts. With sales and presents (and a little bit of Santa) on our minds, it's extremely easy to get caught up in the chaos of Christmas - it is easy for us to focus on all of the wrong things. So today I wanted to share with you, my Christmas Eve Service outfit. Hopefully like many of you, tonight I will be attending the Christmas Eve service at my church. It is a wonderful time to hear the gospel, sing songs of great joy and remind ourselves that the true reason for this season is our lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and that if you are traveling, you do so safely. Much love to you all!

Pom Pom Beanie

Hat: BlueTique Cheap Chic (Chapel Hill location) // Sweatshirt: Ann Taylor
Leggings: Necessary Clothing (Last seen here, similar
Shoes: DSW (old, similar) // Lips: Smashbox in Fuchsia Flash
 Nails: Essie in Secret Story

Isn't it funny how so many things come full circle?! Take pom pom hats, for example. When I was little, I vividly remember my mom shoving a multicolored pom pom beanie on my head before I ran to play outside. I was so embarrassed by the fact that as I ran, a little puffball was bouncing around on my head. But now, I can’t get enough of these hats! I saw this adorable pink beanie at BlueTique the other day and knew that I had to have it. It’s perfect for these cool, wet winter days when bad hair is inevitable and the color is exactly the pop that my winter wardrobe needs! Plus, it’s extremely affordable. Grab yours soon, they are selling fast!

Winter White

Top: J.Crew (last season, similar) // Vest: Divergence Clothing (similar)
Jeans: TJ Maxx (similar) // Boots: J.Crew (loving these and they're so cheap!)
Necklace: H&M (similar) // Bracelet: Moon & Lola

Especially in the south, wearing white in the winter is a fashion faux pas. It's a known rule, but the guidelines for it are extremely vague. What types of clothing can you not wear in white? What if it's white sequins? When are you allowed to start wearing it again? And what if it gets warmer before then?

I have no idea and honestly, I don't think anyone else does either. But does it matter? I don't think so! I love adding a little white to my winter wardrobe. I think a crisp pop of white goes perfectly with crisp winter air. So don't be afraid to wear white in winter! Who cares about rules anyways!? Rules are just meant to be broken!

Cool Blues with a Pop of Pink

Sweater: JC Penney (old, similar) // Skirt: Topshop (on sale in this color now, also loving this skirt) // Shoes: C.Wonder (also loving)
Clutch: Vestique (also cute) // Bracelet: Moon & Lola

The unseasonably warm weather we got this weekend was absolutely wonderful! (Especially since the past couple of days have been so cold and rainy.) To celebrate the warm weather I broke out one of my favorite mini skirts and added a simple, waffle knit sweater (last seen here.) In typical Sara Kate Styling form, I finished the look with some bold pops of color. What do you think!? I personally think that this cool blue is perfect for winter looks!
