Fall Transitions

Top: JC Penney (last season, similar here) // Dress: J.Crew (similar)
Belt: J.Crew (similar, also loving this one) // Shoes: JC Penney (similar
Purse: Prada (sold out, similar here

This is my favorite time of the year! It's starting to get cooler, you can occasionally catch the smell of a bonfire AND you can wear simple layers without feeling bulky! Want this look? Transition a dress from summer to fall by simply adding a silk blouse. It's super easy and definitely helps expand your wardrobe.

Well, I'm off to Chicago! Tell you all details later!

Graphic Tee

Top: J.Crew Factory (out of stock, other pieces here) // Jeans: H&M // Shoes: DWD Shoes (similar)
Necklace: Stella & Dot // Bracelets: J.Crew // Stella & Dot // Stella & Dot

Thanks to Jersey Shore, I've never liked graphic tees. Every time I hear "graphic tee" I think Ed Hardy prints and obnoxious sayings. But thanks to J.Crew those stigmas of graphic tees are gone. {Don't misinterpret - I am by no means saying that I love graphic tees, I am just saying that I have now found some that are actually cute.} Like this adorable top! It's the perfect option for a Saturday morning errands or a weekend coffee date to Joule

Dazed and Confused

Top: Jawbreaking // Jeans: H&M // Shoes: J.Crew (this style but different color, similar)
Purse: Prada (sold out, similar here) //  Gold Spike Bracelet Stella & Dot  //
Spike Cuff Bracelet: Stella & Dot // Watch: Michael Kors

Bryan and I work a TON and it's extremely hard for us to find time for dates during the week. So, we've started a weekly tradition of Saturday morning coffee dates! We head downtown, grab a cup of joe, catch up and unwind. It's quickly become one of my favorite traditions!

For this past weekend's coffee date, I sported a shirt made by one of my favorite companies, Shop Jawbreaking. If you haven't checked them out yet, you definitely should. And for all you other Raleigh people, they're local!

I don't now about you guys but this shirt describes exactly how I feel before drinking coffee. :)

Lacy Red

Top: Unique Chic // Bottoms: American Eagle (old, mix between these and these
Shoes: DWD Shoes (so cheap!!) // Purse: Prada //
Gold Spike Bracelet Stella & Dot  // Spike Cuff Bracelet: Stella & Dot
Crystal Bracelet: Stella & Dot  // Watch: Michael Kors // Ring: Stella & Dot

I LOVE this look! I think it honestly may be my favorite one of the summer (besides my floral dress). I bought this lace top at the Frill warehouse sale a week or so ago and immediately knew how I wanted to style it. I'd seen these Steve Madden pumps at Macy's over the summer knew they would match perfectly. But when I went to the mall, and every store in it, I could not find a single pair of red shoes like these! I found a ton of black pairs, but none in red. So, I searched the internet and found this pair for less than $20!! Talk about bargain shopping. {That's probably part of the reason I love this look so much, it was so affordable!} Move over J.Crew pumps, I've found my new match!

End of Summer Dinner Party

Last month I had the great pleasure of planning and styling not one, but two photo shoots for Frill, both on the same day! It was a lot of work, but I absolutely LOVED it! In designing and planning these shoots, I realized that styling events is something that I want to get more into doing. I love the fact that every detail is thought out, planned and approved of, and that on one day all of the little elements form the perfect, cohesive look.

So, I approached my best friend, Aubrey who has an amazing food blog, and together we decided to start hosting regular dinner parties. We decided to use local vendors and to draw from the seasons best ingredients. It was agreed upon that I will show the styled elements on my blog and she will share the recipes and food elements on hers!

Since a lot of people have cookouts on Labor Day, we decided that this past weekend would be the perfect time to host our first dinner party. We invited a couple of close friends and had blast! Doesn't everything look tasty!?!
