Black Friday

Top: Target (last season, similar) // Sweater: JC Penney (only $10 right now!!) // Jeans: H&M
Necklace: Frill (old, similar, also loving) // Purse: TJ Maxx
Boots: Small boutique (similar) // Phone Case: J.Crew

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying the long weekend!! Today I am skipping the crowds and long store lines to enjoying time with my love ones. (I know, can you believe it, a person who loves to shop is not hitting the Black Friday sales?! But I actually hate shopping when it's crowed and especially hate it when everyone is acting crazy and acting like they have no manners.) Instead, I am relaxing with a cup of coffee at Gather and chatting with my man. I'm catching up on a little work and then I am head back over to see the family.

To all of you that are out in the chaos today, though, be safe! Can't wait to hear what you all got!

Essential Fall Layers

Sweater: Forever21 (similar) // Top: JC Penney (old, here)
Leggings: Necessary Clothing (similar) // Shoes: Steve Madden (can also be ordered here)

It seems like these type of outfits have been my uniform lately - A sweater, with a flowing top and fitted pants, finished with statement shoes. You know what, though, I am completely fine with that! This outfit is super comfortable and best of all, it's transitional. It's the perfect look for an on-the-go kind of gal! Don't you agree!?

Floor Length Frill

Top: Old Navy // Skirt: Frill Clothing // Necklace: Local boutique (old, also loving)

This is my favorite time of the year for fashion - It's cool enough to wear multiple layers, but not cold enough to need a jacket. I also love this time of the year, because of all of the parties! A couple of weeks ago, for example, Sharon and I attended the Southern Weddings V7 Launch Party! Since the V7 cover featured bridesmaids dressed in a variety of pinks, they asked that everyone attending "wear their finest pinks, creams and golds." Since Frill has been playing with the idea of floor length skirts for a while now, we decided that the V7 Launch Party would be the perfect place to test our first floor length piece. Made in a light pink shantung, the skirt was absolutely adorable!! (My boyfriend called this the "Princess Kate Look" and all of his friends called me Cinderella for the evening. Who doesn't wan't to be told they look like a princess?!) Anyway, everyone at the party loved the skirt so we will be making floor length versions of our skirts soon!

Asheville Weekend

Top: Forever 21 (similar) // Jacket: J.Crew (on sale now!) // Pants: Madewell (similar
Boots: Apricot Lane (last season, almost identical)

This weekend, Sharon and I headed to Asheville for a girls weekend. We shopped, explored the town and shopped some more! Here are some of the places we stopped by, during our visit:

Biltmore Park (Basically Asheville's version of North Hills.)
Biltmore Village (A historic looking area with a ton of cute shops.)
Tupelo Honey Cafe  (It's incredibly tasty and I love the fact that they use a ton of local products! Three out of the five of us ordered their award-winning dish, Nutty Fried Chicken. There's a Tupelo Honey Cafe coming to Raleigh in Cameron Village soon, but if you want to try the dish before they open, they've actually posted the recipe on their website!)

Want to know what I bought? Well pretty much everything here, to start with. Check back later to see what else I got!

It's the Weekend!

Hi All! Just a quick post today while I'm running around town! Sharon and I are in Asheville for the weekend and its so beautiful! There's a little chill in the air, the leaves are all changing and everyone is out in about.

It's so nice to get away for a weekend and take a step back from it all. During this time of the year, it's so easy to get caught up in the holiday planning and shopping. Don't forget to sit back and enjoy the season!

Check back later for pictures of our Asheville trip!

Martha Stewart Weddings Party 2014

This October, Sharon and I attended New York Bridal Market and got to experience the magic of NY Bridal Week first-hand! We had a blast and met a lot of amazing new friends, but my favorite part, by far, was getting to attend the Martha Stewart Weddings Party! Obviously, it was amazing, but this year marks the 20th anniversary of Martha Stewart Weddings, and it was the first year that it was held at an external venue, so it was super special!!

Wish you were there? Check out the images below to see everything the event included. **Hint** At the end, I also reveal the goodies we received!

(I apologize in advance for the fact that the pictures taken during the event were taken with my iPhone - It wasn't exactly an event to which I wanted to tote a large camera. But the goodie bag pics were taken with my camera!)

Our first stop at the party was the step and repeat. (Can I just point out how on-trend our market boxwood wall was.)

The next stop was the photo booth, provided by Smilebooth. How adorable did our print turn out!?

After Smilebooth, we stopped by Sugarfina'candy bar and grabbed some tasty, sweet treats.

Then we went by the Martha Stewart Stationary table and snagged a ton of samples!

Next to the stationary table was an open bar, so naturally, that was our next stop.

Then we walked in the grand ballroom and y'all, let me tell you, it was amazing! There was a make-up station hosted by Bobbi Brown where Sharon and I were both able to get makeovers.

Flash tattoos had a metallic tattoo station that looked badass, but they were out of the gold tats, so we skipped that station.

Naturally, the dance floor was our next next stop and the band was amazing. (The SnapChats were so real.)

After dancing, we hit the nail bar, provided by Deborah Lippmann, and got our nails painted gold! We grabbed some amazing food and then headed for the door.

On the way out we each grabbed a flower. Yes, they gave live plants, courtesy of Debi & Co., to everyone that attended. I mean, why wouldn't they?

We also snagged our Instaprint photo before leaving. Anything that was hashtagged #mswbridalparty from a public Instagram account was printed on location!

Ok, now for the good stuff... Check out all of my swag, y'all!!!
