Sorry I've Been MIA - Update

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been missing in action for so long! I've been super busy lately with both Frill and school, so I haven't had time to blog. But just to give you a taste of what I've been up to, here's a little outline of what our Frill agenda has recently included:

- Finalizing photo shoot pics
- Picking out new jewelry
- Hosting trunk shows
- Hosting fittings
- Managing our latest account/production

Hopefully I'll be able to post more soon/get back into the swing of things, but until then, check out our awesome pictures from photographer Holly Rose Mann (she also does weddings!) and our Facebook page!

I promise I'll try to post again soon!

Fall Wedding

Dress: J.Crew, Sweater: J.Crew, Shoes: J.Crew

Sorry, I know it's been a while since I've done an actual outfit post - things have been so hectic lately, but business is going really well!

This past weekend, I had the honor of attending a friend's wedding and this is what I wore. It was held at The Sutherland in Wake Forest, NC, the wedding was absolutely beautiful! I chose this dress, because I thought it's watercolor look portrayed the essence of fall. Hopefully it won't get cold too fast so I can wear a couple more dresses!

Inspirational Accessory: Hallelu's Bright Eyes Sunnies

Bright Eyes Sunnies Outfit

Glasses: Hallelu, Sweater: J.Crew, Blouse: J.Crew, Necklace: Kate Spade, Bracelet: Loren Hope
Purse: Kate Spade, Shoes: ShoeDazzle.com, Skirt: J.Crew

We've all been there - You find the perfect accessory that's so unique or so eye-catching that it inspires an entire outfit. Well, when I saw Hallelu's Bright Eyes Sunnies (link above), that's what happened to me. Unfortunately, as a Ramen-budget college student, though, sometimes dreaming about an outfit is as close as I'll get to wearing it.  So, above is the outfit I would pick, if I could. Hey, a girl can dream, right?

Weekend Snapshots

I am slightly embarrassed to say that as a Senior, I went to Art Crawl for the first time this past Friday. I guess I just didn't know what a big deal it was, but apparently it's an event that the entire town shows up for! Above are a couple pictures from the event - Including one of my favorite parts, the intense partner yoga!!

Check back for pics of what I wore to the event! Have a great rest of your weekend!

Back-to-School Casual

Shirt: J.Crew, Shorts: J.Crew, Bracelet: David Yurman (old), Shoes: Jack Rogers

I would have to say that "relaxed" is the word that best describes my school-day outfits. With 8 AM classes, assignments, running a business and more, I can honestly say that on some days, dressing cute it my last priority. When this is the case, I resort to outfits like the above - grabbing a cute shirt, some colorful shorts and a simple piece of matching jewelry. I guess it could be worse, though, at least I'm not wearing sweat pants. haha

Hope your Back-to-School season is going well!

Last Chance for White Pants

Top: I made it! Pants: TJ Maxx, Clutch: J.Crew, Watch: Micheal Kors, Bracelet: J.Crew, Shoes: old

Hurry, Labor Day is almost here! It's your last chance to wear white pants!

With the holiday weekend quickly approaching, I thought it would be a good idea to do one last white pants post, and I have to say, I LOVE this one!

Pink and orange have definitely been one of my favorite color combinations this summer (besides green and blue) so when I saw this bold, ikat printed fabric I knew I had to make something out of it. So, I bought a basic tank pattern, threw a shirt together and altered it to make a great v-neck back. Pairing it with white jeans, simple heals and an awesome clutch this was my go-to summer ensemble.

Green Pants

Top: Gap, Pants: J Brand c/o My-Wardrobe.com  & GaryPepperVintage.com, Earrings: Frill, Bracelet: Frill, Watch: Michael Kors, Shoes: Jack Rogers

Thank you so much to My-Wardrobe.com & Gary Pepper Vintage for these awesome J Brand pants! I won them in a contest a couple months ago and absolutely love them. Although most people would probably pair these with neutral colored pieces, I prefer to make the pants even more bold by pairing them with a vibrant print. As you can probably tell from my "White Pants" post, I love putting green and blue together, so to me, this ikat print top was the perfect match! With a touch of green in the earrings and simple gold accessories, I finished the look.

Need a little color in your wardrobe? Try a bright pair of pants. PS - Be sure to check out the linked pages!

White Pants 2 Ways

Shirt: J.Crew, Pants (first look): TJ Maxx, Pants (second look): Express, Shoes: Target, Necklace: Frill, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: J.Crew
Make-Up and Photography provided by Sarah Cole

I think I speak for all girls when I say that white pants are the go-to for summer. By pairing them with bright colors and bold patterns, they help your favorite pieces pop even more! Try using them as your canvas and match pieces that you wouldn't normally put together (like this green shirt and blue heels)!

Trend Report: The Fringe Bikini

Trend Report: The Fringe Bikini

1. Dolly Bandeau L*Space $70   2. Cascade Jewel Earring Frill $14
3. Merona Beach Tote Target $20   4. Mystique Princes Mystique Sandals $170
5. Turquoise & Caicos Essie $8

I can honestly say that I've never spent $70 on a bikini top, but if I did, it would definitely be this one! I first saw pictures of this bathing suit floating around Pinterest a couple months ago. Now, it seems like every time I go to the pool, at least one of the girls there is wearing this L*Space suit. So, if you're looking for a summer splurge this season, add a little fringe of excitement to your pool wardrobe by pairing this bright bikini with some fun accessories.

Purple Paisley

Top: Alice & Trixie, Skirt: H&M, Bracelet: David Yurman, Shoes: Target

It's finally starting to get warm, so we all know what that means... Time to break out the mini skirts!
I love this outfit because I feel like it describes my style perfectly - Cute with a touch of boho.
With a super small mini skirt, a flowing top, simple jewelry and chunky heels, my look feels effortless but still put together.

My favorite part? The patterned Alice & Trixie top.  I got it from a thrift store for $20
and I love it! Plus my nails match!

New Years Eve

Top: T.J. Maxx, Belt: Forever 21, Skirt: ASOS (here), Bracelets: J.Crew, Shoes: Steve Madden
I know it's really late, but I figured it was better late than never!  This is the outfit that I wore on New Years Eve and absolutely love it!  Sequins have been really in lately, so I decided to add a bit of sparkle to my night with this skirt.  Stacking bangles and adding a synching belt at the natural waist finished the look and brought it all together.

My favorite part? The bright turquoise nail polish.  As many of you know, I love anything turquoise and I think that adding this random pop of it added the perfect amount of contrast to the look.
