Welcome to Sara Kate Styling - a fashion & lifestyle blog created by clothing designer, Kate Steadman.

Steadman began her career in fashion as only a senior in high school by taking advanced classes in pattern-making and clothing construction. Through these studies, Steadman learned to pay close attention to both the detail and the fit required to create a pleasing and cohesive look.

Summer after high school, Steadman revived her love of fashion through an internship with women's clothing designer, Austin Jade. During her internship, Steadman was immersed in all aspects of the fashion industry, gaining experience in marketing, public relations, event coordinating, production, and designing. Working her way up the company, Steadman was eventually promoted as Head Creative Director. During the time in which she held this position, Steadman served as Austin Jade's go-to stylist for both lookook & runway ensembles. (See the "Client" section for portfolio pictures.)

Seeking out her fashion dreams, Steadman eventually left Austin Jade and started her own clothing company, Frill, with long-time friend, Sharon Bui. Specializing in the creation of custom recruitment dresses, the pair finds joy in the fact that they can create one-of-a-kind pieces and give back to philanthropies. Steadman's major roles in Frill include, designing, picking out materials, managing production and styling looks photo shoots.

In the little bit of spare time that Steadman has, she enjoys blogging about all things fashion. Through this site, Steadman hopes to share her fashion related secrets, daily outfits and much more!
