What's my favorite part about fall? Layers, of course! Military vests are so in right now and they are perfect for so many reasons! They can be paired with anything, the color is a slight statement but also a neutral, and they are the perfect transition between seasons. Stock up ladies because the outfit combinations are endless!

Happy Tuesday!

Can you believe it's already time to start stocking up on long sleeves?! I'm not ready! That said, I am all about slub cotton tees. They are solid and go with everything, they have a slight texture to add a fun detail and they are super light/breathable... So basically they are the perfect transition piece for fall!

Another thing I'm really fond of right now? Overalls! I wasn't the biggest fan of this trend when if first came out, but they have really grown on me. {See the first overall look I ever shot here.}

Have a great start to your week! To all of my college babes, welcome back!

Back to School {for Guys}

Navy lace up Vans // Fossil watch // Sunglasses

He's backkkkk!! You all have been loving the menswear posts lately, so I decided to keep them coming and bring back my friend, Dustin. The thing that has always struck me with relation to Dustin's style is his effortlessness. His outfits are simple, but yet they always stand out!

This is his typical "uniform," if you will; Pairing a v-neck shirt with some chino pants as a base and then throw a loose fitting button down on top. Looking for something for warmer weather? Style it like above, with a light weight linen top and Vans. Looking to make it more fall? Try switching out those pieces for a plaid button down and casual leather boots instead! Either way this look is perfect for back to school! It's fast to throw on and it's super comfortable!

Happy almost weekend!

Charleston Inspired Dress for $20

Striped midi dress $20 c/o // Yellow bag {borrowed, similar here & here}
Two tone platform sandals {old, solid version here} // Rectangular watch

When I think of Charleston I think of two things: Classics and colors. The timeless architecture is stunning, the style is adorable, and all of the bright pops just speak to my heart! So when I was trying to decide what to wear to dinner while in town for the The Blog Societies annual conference (#TBScon), I knew that I wanted my outfit to channel all of those things.

I first got this dress in February and paired it with a fluffy shawl {see original post here}, but quite honestly, I haven't really worn it since. Considering the simple, sophisticated silhouette and the classic stripes, though, I thought it was perfect for the occasion! Pair it with a bright purse and you are good to go! {Ok, a little bumble bee, I know, but I've been really digging yellow with black and white lately!}

Rainy Day Wear

Blue linen button up {old, similar here & here } // Panama hat
Pink rain boots $21 {also loving these & these

Pictures by Sharon Bui

This summer has been filled with hot days that seem to whip up storms out of nowhere! Don't get me wrong, I would much rather have sun than rain, but these storms have been coming as a nice reprieve from the heat! After getting caught in the rain (and having to take heels off and run for it) I learned my lesson and have started stowing these fun boots in my car constantly! I purchased them online two years ago and still swear by them, plus they are only $22!!

Speaking of must-haves, this top is one that I live by! (I literally just wore it two posts ago, in case you didn't notice.) Blue button downs are pieces that should be staples in everyones closet! Pair it with a Panama hat and you are golden!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
